Where it started – PW&A was established in 2002 by respected livestock brokers Peter Walsh and Hamish Lane. The pair’s experience in the livestock industry totalled more than four decades when they teamed up.
Their working style and reputation has seen the company quietly grow and it now has more than 30 livestock brokers, a Regional Manager and two Sales Co-ordinators across the South Island.
At Peter Walsh (PW&A), there is no room for complacency. That highly-professional approach has attracted the other team members to PW&A, realising the opportunity to work alongside like-minded individuals. The brokers – driven by the high expectations of their clients – are known as fair operators, who know livestock and work hard to secure the best deal.
Behind the company’s very real human face are a smart back-office team and the latest technology. With this quality of support, Peter Walsh’s (PW&A) brokers are able to process transactions quickly, ensure livestock are moved efficiently and keep paperwork to a minimum.
At a community level, Peter Walsh (PW&A) believes in giving back to those who support its business. It does this by sponsoring a wide range of regional activities, including sports, education and farming related activities, such as dog trials and A&P shows.
